Born Fighting, Learning to Speak

If I have to talk about myself, I should start at the beginning. I was born impatient. Why do I say that? Because I came into this world about two months early. But life has been teaching me patience ever since. Being a premature baby in the early 1980s put my life at risk. My parents say I came out fighting through that stage, eager to start living. I thought surviving such a dramatic entrance would lead to an easy life. Life had other plans. When I was about three or four, I visited my grandmother's village in Kerala. There was a pond near her house—not a decorative garden pond, but a real village pond where people gathered to collect water for their nearby fields. I was playing near the edge when I slipped. India wins T20 International World Cup

I had a sudden travel plan for some personal reason and happened to be travelling to Kerala on the final match day of T20 International world cup between India and South Africa. Around 8 pm India time the match started. Rohit Sharma had won the toss and elected to bat. Since I was travelling by Konkan railway, the network was on and off as it passed through ghats and tunnels. Most folks in the train were watching the match like me on Disney hotstar.  The match did not start well for India as Rohit and Rishabh were out pretty early. However, Virat who wasn't performing well throughout the world cup came up with a great performance to hold one end. Axar Patel took risks and scored well at the other end. With little cameos here and there the team managed to score a total of 174. It did feel short considering the South African batting lineup.
